2007 JAMES PATTERSON PAGETURNER AWARD

For the second year in a row, Literacy Inc. (LINC) has been awarded a James Patterson PageTurner Award, recognizing innovative individuals and organizations that “go to extraordinary lengths to spread the joy of books and reading across the country.” Ten individual winners and 26 organizations in the U.S. and Canada shared cash prizes totaling $250,000 for the 2007 Awards.(Read more...)

LITERACY, INC. (LINC) NAMED SEMI-FINALIST
IN NEW YORK TIMES COMPANY NONPROFIT EXCELLENCE AWARDS

Literacy, Inc. (LINC) has been named one of ten semi-finalists in the 2008 New York Times Company Nonprofit Excellence Awards. The Awards are presented by the New York Times Community Affairs Department, the Nonprofit Coordinating Committee of New York (NPCC), and the New York Regional Association of Grantmakers (NYRAG). Four winning organizations will be announced in June from among the semi-finalists. (Read more...)
