LINC in Queens

LINC has been asked by the New York State Education Department (NYSED)
to bring its network-building approach to Jamaica, Queens where the state
is developing a "One Stop" comprehensive service delivery center. Funding
from NYSED will support LINC's work to build networks focused on early literacy.

These networks will be brought into collaboration with New York City's Adult
Literacy Initiative (NYCALI) funded with federal, state and city dollars) networks. This comprehensive network of services would also include connection to Even Start and other state services, all tied to the "One Stop" center in Jamaica,Queens. This grant gives LINC the opportunity to bring all it has learned over the past four years to communities in Community School District 28 - a new district for LINC.
