Replication Model

          From its inception, LINC has been working to develop a model that can be replicated in other urban settings. We have also begun to document LINC’s model and approach, so that what we have learned can be shared with other New York City and New York State school districts.
          Part of LINC’s strategic plan is to replicate its approach to advancing early literacy in an urban setting outside New York City. During the summer of 2002, LINC began a replication project in Hudson, New York, in order to test its approach in a smaller city with a low-income population and poor reading scores.
