LINC envisions a world where every community uses their own collective power to make literacy a value and right of all children, and that vision grows stronger every day. Earlier this week, LINC’s voice got louder as our Professional Advisory Council (PAC) raised their glasses to little readers across New York City at the Brooklyn Brewery in celebration of Giving Tuesday.
LINC is proud to be part of Giving Tuesday’s global celebration and recognition– a day that brings together nonprofits, community organizers, grassroots groups, and mutual aid networks from all over the world.
PAC members new and old mingled with like-minded LINC supporters for this momentous occasion and enjoyed the brew(s) of their choice. It was a wonderful opportunity for these passionate individuals to come together, leveraging their collective energy and enthusiasm for LINC’s mission, and sharing what motivates them to be involved.
Participants enjoyed a behind the scenes view of the iconic Brooklyn Brewery, cornhole, and a gamut of exciting raffle prizes, including tickets to Yankees and Giants games, as well as Harry Potter and the Cursed Child on Broadway, a gift card to the Royal Palms Shuffleboard Club, and our favorite, curated book bundles for a variety of ages.
We are immensely grateful to PAC and to all of our supporters around the city and around the world! Your time, talent, and kindness makes our work possible.
P.S. It’s not too late to participate in Giving Tuesday! Choose a little reader in your life (ages 0-5), or a LINC family building a home library, to be the recipient of your gift book. LINC will choose and supply the book, then mail it to your intended recipient in time for the holidays. You can even opt to include a personalized message if you like!
