Literacy Inc. (LINC) Honored by Nonprofit New York as a 2019 Nonprofit Excellence Award Finalist

For the second year in a row, Literacy, Inc. (LINC) is proud to be recognized by Nonprofit New York for its excellent management practices. LINC was designated as one of New York City’s top three non-profit organizations and received a Special Recognition for its innovative practices in fundraising and resource development. We were honored to be recognized for excellence in financial management in 2018 and are thrilled to have our organization’s work further validated again this year by this prestigious honor.


Nonprofit New York’s annual NonProfit Excellence Awards celebrate outstanding management practices. We extend congratulations to Henry Street Settlement, the Overall Management Excellence Winner!


LINC will be awarded $10,000 and a scholarship for senior leadership programs for nonprofit professionals at the Columbia Business School Executive Education Programs in Social Enterprise. LINC’s Executive Director Shari Levine and Director of Advancement Eliana Godoy will share their insights and best practices in nonprofit management at the Nonprofit New York’s Best Nonprofit Conference on Tuesday, December 10, 2019.


LINC harnesses the power that exists in every community to make literacy a value and a right for all children. Our tremendous growth and recognition is a testament to our partners, donors, board, and staff, who help us to do the work we love every day.
