We were honored to have reporters from BronxNet join our families during their excursion from their local train station at Kingsbridge Road all the way down to Coney Island. All along the way, we read stories and shared fun activities as a reminder to families across the city that reading is fun, and learning opportunities exist all around us, all the time!

"[Reading gives you] a lot of things that you may not necessarily be able to experience in person," shares parent Karla Cabrera Carrera, "going on different trips, we've done readings on traveling to different parts of the world... it exposes you to a lot of things that you're not necessarily having a personal experience with, but through your

imagination and reading you are having those experiences."

We’re incredibly grateful to BronxNet for shining a light on this work and to all of our partners and families who helped bring Reading on the Rails to life. It’s your support that keeps this train moving!

If you missed the segment, check it out above and share it with friends, family, and fellow book lovers. And if you want to hop on board our next adventure, check out our programs at www.lincnyc.org/programs!

Let’s keep reading — and riding — together.
