Building a Movement: LINC Welcomes Our Newest Team Members!

2022 has been a year of tremendous growth and transformation for LINC and we are proud to announce a number of new staff. We prepare ourselves to support even more families and we are grateful to have these new staff members join us in our efforts. They are excited to get to know the LINC community and for you to get to know them.

Anastasia Gladden, Director of Family & Community Engagement

Anastasia Gladden is a first-generation Caribbean American that grew up in all boroughs of New York City except Staten Island. She has established a reputation as a transformational leader throughout her career, working in education and nonprofit organizations nationally and internationally. The catalyst behind her passion for working at LINC is the harsh realities of the economic and social atrocities that could easily impede the children and families without early literacy interventions. Driven by challenges, undeterred by obstacles, and committed to furthering standards of excellence, she hopes to continue to empower communities and families in NYC.

Anastasia can be reached at agladden@lincnyc.org and 212-620-5462 ext. 153.

Jenice Zayas, Family Engagement Specialist, East Harlem

Jenice Zayas is a native New Yorker, a nature lover, and a proud single mom of three boys who has called East Harlem home for the majority of her life. Her passion for public service has been influenced by her lived experiences and she has dedicated over 30 years to serving children, elders, and families. She is passionate about work that leads to the creation of equitable, high-quality opportunities that support marginalized and traditionally underrepresented communities. Jenice leads with empathy and believes all people, despite their circumstances, deserve to have a fair shot in creating the lives they dream of for themselves and their loved ones.

Jenice can be contacted at jzayas@lincnyc.org and 212-620-5462, ext. 129.

Emile Keller, Operations Manager

Emile Keller is a graduate of Binghamton University with a degree in Philosophy, Politics and Law and holds a masters degree from the John Jay college of Criminal Justice. He formerly worked as the Operations manager at a reentry organization that helps young adults, ages 16 to 24 who had an encounter with the justice system. Emile is passionate about social service work specifically focused on disadvantaged communities and was immediately attracted to the role at LINC. He aspires to enter the legal field at some point.

Emile can be contacted at ekeller@lincnyc.org and 212-620-5462, ext. 121.

Welcome to the LINC team: Anastasia, Jenice, and Emile! Thank you for sharing your diverse work experiences, skills, and passion for educational justice to serve the next generation of little readers. We look forward to partnering with you to advocate for the work that parents and their communities are doing to ensure that their children grow up in literacy rich environments.
