Growing with LINC: Meet Our Newest Development Team Members!

LINC is proud to announce that our award winning Development Team is growing! As we prepare ourselves to support even more families, we are thankful to have four new staff members join us in our efforts. Meet Kate Dorman, Calin Mason, Jessica Tenenbaum, and Matt Zebrowski. They are excited to get to know the LINC community and for you to know them.

Kathleen (Kate) Dorman recently joined the LINC team as our Donor Relations Manager. As a seasoned professional in the fields of arts and education, Kate brings experience as an administrator, fundraiser, and facilitator to her position at LINC. Much of her previous work was with major cultural institutions such as Theatre for a New Audience and Classic Stage Company, where she led the education departments and oversaw vibrant arts-in-education programs in partnership with K-12 schools throughout NYC’s five boroughs. A born storyteller and life-long voracious reader, Kate shares a genuine enthusiasm for and commitment to LINC’s vital mission, which seamlessly connects to her overarching career goal of making high-quality educational experiences equitable for all students.

Calin Amber Mason joins LINC as our Communications Coordinator. She is a curious cocreator whose main communication tools include writing, visual art, graphic design, and visual notetaking. Her background is in environmental studies and human geography and she comes to us with four years of communications experience. When she's not working, you can find her engaging with afroecology, black spiritual herbalism, and arts and crafts. As a relational introvert, Calin finds the greatest joy in her closest friendships and the constellations of care that surround her.

Jessica Tenenbaum is LINC's new Development Coordinator. She comes to us with a degree in Business Administration, concentrated in marketing, and a career spent thus far in corporate sales. Jessica is excited to apply her acumen for generating funds and keen ability to create operational efficiencies towards furthering LINC's mission and advancing education justice. In her free time, you can often find Jessica listening to podcasts, practicing yoga, spending time with friends and family, and of course, reading!

Matt Zebrowski is our new Institutional Giving Manager. He works with the development team to secure funding from foundations and institutional grantmakers. Prior to joining LINC, he worked in nonprofit development and communications, promoting civic engagement in marginalized communities. He also worked as a postsecondary English instructor. He has a PhD in English from Carnegie Mellon University. Matt is deeply committed to economic and racial justice, and sees universal literacy as a cornerstone of a more equitable future. In his free time, he enjoys reading, playing video games, weightlifting, and finding new music.

Welcome to the LINC team: Kate, Calin, Jessica, and Matt! Thank you for sharing your diverse work experiences, skills, and passion for educational justice to serve the next generation of little readers. We look forward to partnering with you to advocate for the work that parents and their communities are doing to ensure that their children grow up in literacy rich environments.
