It's that time of year again! Meet us in Manhattan and grab a glass!
On Wednesday, November 19, from 6:00pm - 8:00pm, Literacy in Community's Professional Advisory Council (PAC) will host its annual Books & Brews Fundraiser at the Continental Bar and Lounge downtown.
Raise a glass to little readers across New York City and bring a book of your own to swap during the evening!
We are thrilled to host this crowd-pleaser at a new location, Continental Bar and Lounge is located at 82 Beaver Street* in Lower Manhattan.
Bring one or two gently loved books and swap them for something new-to-you! It's simple: take a book, leave a book. A great way to share stories, spark conversations, and find your next favorite read.
This fun-filled happy hour raises funds to support Literacy in Community's (LINC) free reading programs and parent workshops across the city, fueling our mission to make literacy a right for all New Yorkers.
To purchase a ticket now, visit: tinyurl.com/bookbrew26. Tickets start at $65 and include drinks. Food is available for separate purchase.
For more information, reach out to Nanci Pavlisko, Manager, Corporate Philanthropy & Engagement at 212-620-5462 ext. 150 or npavlisko@lincnyc.org.
*The Continental is located on the first floor of a historic building at 1 Wall Street Court, even though the address is 82 Beaver Street. Built in 1904, the building initially housed the offices of the Munson Steamship Line Company, and from 1931-1972, the New York Cocoa Exchange.
